Singular
- has only 1 thing
- Noun must not have s or es in the end
Plural
- have 2 or more things
- Noun must have s or es
This is the rule of using s or es

You can put (sugar) in your tea.
We have to buy new (furniture) .
I need to wash my (hair) .
